Vivo Tabs
I see ASUS announced the VIVO Tab's, running Windows 8.
ASUS outs dockable Windows 8 Vivo Tab and Vivo Tab RT -- Engadget
These are renamed from tablets previously discussed here.
The RT model is of particular interest to me, given that it runs on Tegra 3. Does this mean there's a possibility that we'll be able to install Windows 8 RT on Transformers such as the TF300? :-)

No, not officially anyway, RT only comes pre-installed and there's also the minimal hardware requirements to consider. The RT systems will come specifically tweaked to run Windows well, along with special keys.
Like the Windows Key and Power Button can be pressed at the same time to do a Ctrl+Alt+Dlt command. Among other little differences, not to mention RT systems will be coming with 2GB of RAM and may have SSDs instead of the usually more basic Flash Memory drives that most ARM tablets use.

I'd like to know whether the Vivo 810 is the same thing as the Transformer Book, or if there's still an even more high-end Windows 8 Transformer coming out.
I'm not doing this out of some need to constantly have something bigger and better, but rather the knowledge that 2 gigs of RAM and the small (likely) memory in the RT and 810 just isn't going to be able to handle my software needs. I already have a TF300 for fun and notetaking, use a MT101T for basic Windows stuff, but am stuck with bigger and bulkier laptops for solid modeling and data analysis.

No, the Transformer Book is basically the Ultrabook series. The Vivo series basically covers the traditional ARM and Eee PC range devices.

Should be interesting to see how boot times compare for the Asus Vivo Tabs vs Samsung's equivalents...
RT is suppose to be even lighter than 8, since it doesn't have to support legacy. So having a W8 tablet come out so far ahead was rather surprising but could be Samsung was using more basic parts for their RT. Since most ARM devices use more basic Flash memory instead of SSDs. Though x86 still has advantage on memory bandwidth and error tolerance but we'll see as more tablets get tested.
Asus is usually pretty good at optimizing, so we'll see if they can provide better boot times.

Another update, looks like the digitizer pen on the Windows 8 Vivo Tab works well for writing signatures with "133 data signals per second including 1,024 levels of pressure"...
-
And a Unreal Engine 3 demonstration on the Vivo RT...

Very impressed by that. That Wacom digitizer is worlds better than the "pen" recognition on my TF300.

Honestly, I'm pretty shocked that 2gb of ram can handle this!

Mind that the XBox 360 has only 512MB of RAM and it does have games based on Unreal Engine 3.
So not all games require that much RAM to run and Windows 8/RT occupies less than 200MB without anything else running. So mainly a question of CPU and GPU performance. Though that will limit choices of games to ones you wouldn't need a gaming laptop to run but even low end games have gotten better the last few years as shown by the increasing quality of Android and iOS games.

I didn't know that about the XBox 360. I assumed it had more significant RAM, contributing to why we're not seeing any of its games being ported or emulated onto the more recent Android tablets.
