Convert DVD to MP4 To play on Transformer???

Is Handbrake the best software to use to convert a DVD to MP4 so we can watch on your EPT's? If not does anyone know a better/easier way?

    Gracias

I have used DvD Catalyst to convert my DVDs to a format for my Droid, Droid X, Tbolt and Xoom with out any problems. Its so easy to use and it has profiles for just about every android device. There is most likely a profile for the Transformer as well.

DVDCatalyst is probably the best video converting software. It's only $9.99 and worth every penny.

Ok im usually good with figuring things out for myself but there are so many encoding options that I don’t even know where to begin. Does anyone know of a site or a thread where someone listed step by step instructions on how to rip a DVD in handbrake (or another mac program since I use a MBP) and converit to a file I can pop onto my EPT?

Apart, that is, from the Windows version of Handbrake, which is for ... Windows users.

Several months ago I ended up buying an app called Wondershare DVD Ripper for Mac, to create mp4 files for my iPod from DVDs. As a non-techie, I didn't really have anybody to take me by the hand (no pun intended) and walk me through using Handbrake, and I just wanted to be able to watch my DVD programming on my iPod touch while on the treadmill at the gym.

It wasn't a dirt-cheap price, but I've been happy with the Wondershare application. It gives a large choice of output file formats, but I'd just set it on the iPod mp4 type (640 x 480) which produces videos that are just fine for my iPod and also for my HTC EVO.

Today I loaded some of those mp4 files onto my TF, and played them with MoboPlayer. No problems with playback, but I've just started experimenting with other settings to see if I can get videos that look better on the tablet. This afternoon I ripped a TV show episode using the "Apple TV H.264" (960 x 540) output mp4 setting, which produces a larger mp4 file, but not unmanageably large at least for a 55-minute video. Haven't transferred it to the TF yet to compare it to other episodes from the same DVD that were ripped in the other format.

For a non-techie, the Wondershare application has saved me a lot of headaches, although I'm sure that smarter and better-informed Mac users can save some cash and work with Handbrake. Just wanted to report my experience.
