Is there a way to use MoboPlayer to play content from media servers (UPnP)?

I'm trying to use MoboPlayer to play video from my Synology NAS, but I can only seem to play local content. The media player that came with my TF can't seem to play any of my video files, but I've had some luck with UPnPlay which will play about 70% of my video files. Are there any other apps that might have better codecs besides UPnPlay or does anyone know of a way I can get MoboPlayer to view my media server?

Yeah it allows me to select which video player to use as well. There are some video files i have not been able to play either. After I rooted and loaded the prime 1.4 ROM I played files directly using a cifs connection, but the hd videos would lag due to the audio in some of the mkv files.

I have set up tversity to transcode and connected via upnplay and had some success.

Plex server and droid app ftw!

Seriously. I have tried them all. TVersity. VLC Direct with VLC etc. The absolute BEST transcoder and droid player combination is Plex. It gives me the smoothest playback out of all of them and can transcode and stream across local wifi at 5Mbps and stream from remote wifi and 3G.

Be aware it relies on your main computer to transcode on-the-fly though so you need a beefy processor for HD stuff.

I have an old maxtor shared storage NAS that won't stream but as router was dying bought a Cisco linksys WAG320N which has a basic mediaserver. Add a cheap usb drive installed upnplay (thanks to this forum) and with moboplayer "all good". Of course haven't played all my videos:-D
