Is there a safe list of Asus apps i can delete from the TF103c Tab ?

    Hi,

    Just got me Asus TF103c.
good tablet, but Ive noticed there are a load of apps in that list that i'm never going to use
but i'm worried i'll remove them and ill damage the tablet from booting again.

Just wondered is there a safe list of apps i can remove ?

I know i need to root my device in order to delete some "system" apps.

    Welcome to the forum

No need to root - just "disable" the apps you don't want. Avoid anything that looks "systemish" & you'll be fine. You can loose chrome, play movies etc, anything like the music player & so on. You can always re-enable them if you need to.

Disabling them from settings will take care of any interference they may cause (which is probably not much). I understand your desire to "clean them out" but in reality disabling them does just the same.
Deleting them off your tablet will not even gain you any space since the factory installed apps are installed to the /system partition which is write protected unless you root/custom rom the tablet.
In other words: Your data partition (where user apps get installed) doesn't get any bigger if you remove system apps.

Unless you understand why you need to root & what your very specific reason is for rooting, there is no benefit at all.

I have never rooted any of my Android devices. No need, no point & it undermines the basic security of the device.

    All the best
