When on button pressed screen just keeps showing 'Asus in search of incredible'

When switching on, the screen just continually shows 'Asus in search of incredible' I have tried resetting to factory settings 4 times but each time I reboot at the end of the process it is still the same.

Before I reboot after being told wipe data complete, I see the following on bottom left side of screen:

    Fastboot CMD waiting
    E: Installer device ignored
E: No valid installer medium found
    Could not open/sys/devices/virtual/backlight

Would be grateful for any help.

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forum

You are in a "boot loop" - they can be a nightmare to resolve. If under warranty, return it. If not, try manually reflashing the firmware.

    Sure.
You could try cleaning the system cache first - I doubt it will work, but it's easy, so worth a try...
