    Question Nandroid Backup and cloning

    Hi foks

I have two TF103CX. One rooted and one stock. I have been looking at using the rom from the russian website to restore my rooted device so I can receive updates. Yes I made the classic mistake.

One alternative I believe I have is make a nandroid backup of the second device and restore that to my first.

Has anyone had experience of this, partularly with the TF103C? Did you have any issues? Recommendations?

My planned method would be based on a guide from XDA and goes something like this

    1. Root second device
    2. Use my old linux pc to create an ADB shell (its a 9 year old laptop running fedora 22 and should be dead)
    3. use dd to create the nandroid backup of my second device
    4. use fastboot to restore image to first device
