Has anyone Rooted and gone reverse OS like JellyBean or older?

Just curious if anyone has rooted and gone back to other OS's that allow use of removable memory like JellyBean and older.

I've never rooted any of my devices before but I'd be interested in doing something like this so that I could keep my Ebooks and other items similar to that on the SD Card and not have the whole Can't manipulate issues that KitKat has created.

If I were to root and go back, if it were possible, would I still be able to use the keyboard and such or it is more of a hardware implementation than a software implementation on the tablet.

    Just curious.

    Thanks

I understand your reasons, but rooting alone won't help you. You'd also need a custom ROM & I don't believe there are any for the TF103. Even if there are, there is no way they would be Jelly Bean or older. It 's barely possible that a developer is working in a Lollipop ROM, but not very likely.

I kinda figured that was the issue involved. I looked around on a few websites like XDA and didn't even see this tablet listed.

Take a deeper look into what is required for custom development for Android running intel chips and you will understand why. The operating system runs fundamentally differently than traditional arm systems.

For a midrange device like the 103 the work required would be huge and very few devs are interested.
