Help i need a factory recovery.img for the ww tf103c

My ww tf103c is stuck in an error loop at lock screen, when i boot in to droidboot and choose recover i get No Command.
I downloaded the zip from Asus, but there is no recovery.img file, i need it so i can flash the recovery partition and start over.
It is new, so i don't care about the data, i have no idea how this happened.

    Welcome to the forum

If you visit the Master Help Guide (linked below) you will find a guide thread which tells you the correct way to manually reinstall the firmware on Asus devices.

Or, given it is so new, why not just opt for a warranty repair.

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

Nothing in there helps, i only have access to the device via fastboot, the recovery image is bad.
If I knew were or how to get the proper recovery.img file, i could flash the recovery partition and boot in to recovery mode.

Do you have any sort of recovery at all? You mention droid boot.

As far as I know, the way to restore the stick bootloader and recovery is to flash the Asus firmware zip file on a custom recovery. If you don't have a custom recovery then I'm not sure how this happened.

my 12 year old received this tablet for Christmas, no one did anything fancy to it. One day he came to me, it gives an endlessly looping error at the lock screen. I boot into droidboot
    REBOOT DROIDBOOT
    REBOOT
    RECOVER
    POWER OFF

choosing recover goes to a droid splash screen saying NO COMMAND then times out and does normal boot, back to error loop.
so i assume i need to flash a fresh recovery.img file, then choose recover.

    I see.
I don't think you will need to flash a new recovery. The part where you chose recovery is working exactly as it should. It is looking for a firmware file which would be on a micro SD card inserted into the tablet. We have a guide on how to do this but it is intended for the older tegra 3 transformer models.

You can try downloading the correct firmware zip from asus. Check to see if there is a zip file inside that one (if it is zipped twice you will need to extract the second one)

When you put that zip file onto a micro SD card and enter the recovery the firmware should install and bring you out of the bootloop.

I might not have the procedure 100% correct but you can give it a try. Otherwise call Asus support and explain clearly that you need instructions for how to install firmware in the recovery since you have a bootloop. This is not something you should need to RMA for if you can get the instructions.

yes i tried that, i think all i need is the correct name for the zip file, in the guide i read it said to rename it different ways for different models, but the tf103 was not listed, i tried them all.

Try the simple guide - you shouldn't need to rename it - it should "just work". But, as I say, you always have the warranty route.
