Angry ADB sideload update OTA zip

Hi.So then I thought perhaps I could go the ADB sideload approach, first I tried just sending over the provided OTA zip package, but I get an error on the device after if finishes transferring "end of footer from /tmp/update.zip not 0xffff (file exists)" and "Signature verification failed"

I'm wondering...these questions need to be asked... and answered... but even then, no-one may be able to help you if you have irretrievably bricked your device...

Why are you trying to update in this way?
Why are you not using the standard update procedure OTA?
Why not use the normal (& Asus recommended & published) routine to manually update the firmware?
Are you trying to change the SKU on your device?

I think I may be able to add some info.

Hirsa. I believe you are trying to apply the ADB sideload update procedure. The trouble is this only works on Nexus devices not ASUS transformers.

The standard method the update firmware is through an OTA update, or by loading the firmware zip file (you may have to unzip it once) onto a micro SD card.

If you cannot boot into android you can install firmware through the standard recovery. Just put the firmware file (again unzipped once) onto an SD card and boot into recovery.

We have a few guides in his to do this in the master help guide. They were originally intended for other Asus models but I'm sure the procedure is nearly the same.
*I apologize for any spelng mistakes. I frequently answer questions on my phone. The content is (usually) good, but the words may not be intelligible. If you cant understand my post... check back later or call me out on it.

Actually - if you look at the picture closely, "load update from ADB" is one of the options, so if that is the stock recovery, it seems to be build in....
Signature verification failed ususally means it's an incorrect file.
SKU seems to fit (recovery is WW)
If this is the TF103c the firmware version also seems to be correct, although Asus states that you cannot downgrade, so stick with 2.2.33.101.
Usually you have to unzip the downloaded file ONCE and apply the resulting zip as the update file.
    Did you do that?

I do not have any experience with this tablet, so proceed with caution....

Hi everyone. Fist post in here!. I got a TF103C asus tablet in china.. so CN SKU. Worst of luck, no development for this tablet so far, no custom, not much and CN build so no google

Got Root but not bootload unlock. (googling people say there's non yet)

I am running into the same problem here when trying to switch SKU, from CN to WW.

I flashed the WW boot.img and fastboot.img OK

and patched the recovery with the /data/local/tmp method resulting in droidboot and recovery showing version WW instead of CN.

But when trying to sideload the WW version fails the same way.

    Any way of switching SKU's?
    Any hint?

    Welcome to the forum

You will not find this easy - it may not even be possible. As standard there is no way to switch SKUs on Asus devices. As an Intel powered device there is little (maybe none at all) developer interest and as such you may well never be able to do it.
