i am new android user , so how many times for a custom rom after the device is rooted?

I am having a hard time with this. What are the exact steps taken? I got the demo files just not sure what to do with them.

After I turn on demo mode will I be able to revert back to the regular mode after I root it?

I think you have to just install and verify by taping in the calc,but say no when the prompt say you to enter in demo mode

Ok i have to run the bat file from my PC and will try again tomorrow. The reason I want root is because apps will not write to my micro SD.

test with this method ASUS DEMO Program Resource Site, the demo program is used by the rootenabler to hack (do a backup before use this method)
and after apply the apk

I have downloaded from the link the demo package but it(zip archive) appears to be password protected? How did you guys even open it and is there a password somewhere on asus site that I'm not seeing?

The password for the zip files is the same one used in the calculator.



It looks like tablets that were bought in a bundle with the keyboard dock at BestBuy don't ship with Calculator or Asus Live Demo Service. The zip file is marked as "unavailable now!" Great!
From what I understand, the UnlockZenFone tool uses these to do the root hack.

Does anyone have a download of this zip?

Edit I found the apks in the update images on the Asus support page. With these I am able to get calculator to display "trigger" but not get into the demo app after pressing ok. The root tool fails, I assume for similar reasons.

Why is it that the BestBuy SKU can't get the latest update? Am I missing out on anything?
