    Tablet Bricked?

    Hi all,

I think I've completely managed to brick my TF101 tablet, would like some confirmation before I throw it in the bin.

    • The usb connection doesn't work, every time I try to use it windows won't recognise it, despite trying to use every driver I can find.
    • In addition to the above, I've tried the usb cable in both the tablet, and the dock.
    • It can't cold boot into android, I wiped everything trying to get out of a CWM bootloop.
    • It can load CWM, but from there I can't access anything, such as /sdcard/, /data etc.
    • I put an update.zip on a primary partitioned microSD card, but CWM doesn't recognise it.

I've been at it for about 24hrs now and can't see any way out. I just keep trying things I've already done. Is it dead?

    Thanks for any comments.

I don't think it's dead and the TF101 is hard to brick.
You should still be able to flash the stock rom in APX with Easy Flasher. Once that is accomplished you can flash a recovery and rom again and start fresh.
    Try this guide here: http://www.androidtablets.net/thread...e-tf101.51540/
Also check out the Easy Flasher thread for the TF101 on XDA

Thanks for the help mate, but at the step where I'm meant to find the 'other devices - apx' in device manager, I don't have that. I get an 'unknown device' whenever I plug it in, and when I look at the properties, it says : "This device is disabled because the firmware of the device did not give it the required resources. (Code 29)". I've tried forcing those drivers for the unknown device, but it doesn't work.

I've never seen that error, but to make sure that this is not a Windows/driver problem, try it from a different PC, maybe with a different Windows version, maybe even running a Linux live CD distro.
try this one: [GUIDE] ADB and Fastboot on Linux live CD
No idea if it has APX baked in but worth a try.

I've tried it from multiple pc's. I've seen other posts from people posting the same issue. Not sure why it happens though. Guessing the tablet is bricked.
