It probably has more to do with the wipes. When you flash a kernel you should always wipe cache and delvik.

I bought a cheap irulu 7" with JB 4.1. its been stable and surprisingly quick, and I like some of the features of JB, so I have been itch'n for JB on the TF101, Been looking real hard to find a good root for my TF101. Thanks for the info! I'm gonna try this one.

Is this the Google Niw Search?

    Which GAPPs are you using?

    Try this:

google now is crashing after the latest update
=> workaround: uninstall the update, uncheck the hot words detection in the settings, reinstall the update

read Step 6, then read it again, then do it.
I've found that 99% of ROM problems are caused by people not doing the wipes.

    Step 6 - Wipes
This step is one of the most important. Failing to wipe all of these partitions can lead to Random Reboots (RR) and Sleep of Death (SoD) issues. It can also make your tablet run slow, force close apps, boot loop, etc.

From the main TWRP screen, tap WIPE. You will need to wipe the following sections:
    Cache
    Davlik Cache
System (this wipes out the system firmware, but not the apps you have installed or system settings like account sync and WiFi networks).
Factory Reset (this wipes out your /data/ directory where your installed apps reside, as well as your system settings. It does NOT wipe the /data/media/ partition aka /sdcard/ directory. Your files will still remain.)

Once you have completed the four wipes, tap the home button to return to the main TWRP menu.

This is an incredible guide, even better than your previous. You've convinced me to finally move from stock/rooted to EOS4. A big reason I didn't do this sooner is because backing up and restoring data seemed like a huge hassle, but this guide makes it look easy.

Question: Is there any way to have TiBU to only backup app data and not the whole app? The only data I need to keep is game data, and some of my games are massive (Asphalt 7).

BTW one of the images in post #2 is broken (the left-aligned nav buttons).

    [OFFICIAL][FAQ] TeamEOS 4 (Android 4.2.1) for the TF101

zAkbee - I do not believe so.

You can just restore the data on the back end.

    Fixed the broken image too.

Thank you Frederuco!! Everything worked perfectly!

Things I have noticed with this rom vs stock ICS rom is Keyboard strokes detection is so much faster, it used to lag alot!

System is faster ofc, much of the lag is gone, the same lag that ones made me declare the tf101 as broken.

So thanks again, without your FAQ I would not have rooted and flashed a rom!
