    Bluetooth tethering with Nokia phone?

Has anybody managed the internet tethering by bluetooth with a Nokia phone? I have a Nokia 5230 with $10 data plan. Tethering is working fine with my netbook using Nokia PC software. However, I cannot get it working with my transformer, neither before or after Android 3.1 update. My transformer can pair with Nokia, but does not show any profiles.

By the way, my wife's Sony Ericsson phone (TM717) can be tethered easily, showing two profiles for input devices and internet access.

Nobody has been able to use a Nokia phone as bluetooth modem?

I'm in the same situation and is quite annoying thinking that a Pad that can't see the ad-hoc wlans can't be internet tethered throug bluetooth with all the mobile phones...

I keep losing all the challenge with my friend's iPad
The eeePad is too much below the iPad's quality...

    Help me win!!!! XD

Question tethering to a nokia handset

guys, i know this has been covered in bits and pieces here, but since i'm new to android, it sounds a bit tricky to me.

I have a Nokia E72-2 with a data package which i'd like to tether the TF to for internet access.

Now, thanks to JoikuSpot, the phone broadcasts the WiFi signal in adhoc mode, and from what i've learned here, the TF doesn't do adhoc, but only infrastructure mode.

in short, i have to root the TF to get it to detect adhoc mode. question is, how the hell can i do this rooting safely as possible?

and if something goes wrong during the rooting process, how can i revert back to the original settings? i dont see a 'system recovery' option...

sorry for the somewhat ridiculous questions...were this windows, i wouldnt be having this issue..

    thanks in advance!

Upgrade your OS to 3.2. It has ad-hoc wlan support. Then get and run JoikuSpot on your phone. You get a connection. I tried it with my wife's E39 and it works.

when connected to the TF through joikuspot, the Tf won't go on any sites, just takes forever loading and then gives me the 'webpage not available' screen..

and i can't bluetooth tether from ny N8, it just says "paired but not connected"

    Same problem for me :

transformer with ICS and Nokia N8 "Belle"

the transformer see and connects well on the joikuspot hotspt made by the N8 but impossible to load a web page.

I even tried changing user agent in dolphin browser but it didn't work.
