Hello Seeker and welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, per-installed Apps can not be deleted from the TF. It doesn't take up much space. I would just ignore it and have fun with your new toy.

Is that because de book itself is in some way permanently attached to MyLibrary?
Because the book on its own is not an app.
The thing I found strange, was the fact that it got duplicated when I moved it to my books folder. It just reappeared in its original place after opening MyLibrary without removing the moved copy.

Thank you for the welcome appreciated. I do not wish to delete My Library merely the book. Is this possible, other books I have added, read, can be deleted but Alice is being very stubborn. As RonnieD mentions surely the book is not an app??
    Thank you

Update::: If you long press the icon you should see a popup asking if you wish to delete the book.

I deleted it and it didn't return. Have you updated to the .19 firmware?

Got to Setting>About Tablet and check the firmware number it should be 8.6.5.19-20111107

Another My Library thread. It really is a bit of a naughty app is ML. Looks good, promises much & then doesn't really deliver when it comes down to it.

I recommend that you read the following thread:
    http://www.transformerforums.com/for...ok-topics.html

I think that you will save yourself a lot of head scratching if you just clear the cache & data for ML, delete alice in file manager, do a hard reset & then never tap that **##%%* ML icon again.

    But that's just me!

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

yes running 8.6.5.19 version. I have found that other people have the same issue on other forums but no one has yet found a solution AFAIK. I know its only a small file but it bugs me that I can't have it the way I want. It seems like Apple control on the transformer.

I understand completely. For reasons unknown, Asus does not allow us to delete pre-installed apps. Although, Alice did not come back on my TF
