Transformer screen problem - flashing black triangle

    Hi,

I am hoping that someone will be able to help me with a problem that has just arisen with my tablet.

It is a couple of months old but suddenly whenever I put BBC iplayer and channel 4oD into fullscreen a black flashing triangle appears in the top left of the screen. If I resize the video instead of making it fullscreen it is fine. It is also fine if I am using putlocker/megavideo etc in fullscreen.

Please check out the video I have made of the problem. This is while watching 4oD from channel 4 in fullscreen. (ignore sound!)

    Thankyou

Well, the latest firmware update from Asus seems to have broken quite a few things actually - one of them is flash player.

Many of us are not even able to see anything at all when we try to use iPlayer. We get a blank screen. You are lucky - you are getting at least as much as you are!

I have rooted my TF and have a custom ROM and if I use the customised "stock" browser or Dolphin HD, the iPlayer works fine for me - though I can't remember whether there are these black triangles or not.

    Ah, thanks for replying

Now I come to think about it - this did start happening after the most recent update....

I wasn't worried too much that it was fault with the screen as other videos work fine in fullscreen - just iplayer and 4oD

I will wait this out I think for a new update.

I have the exact same problem, same shape, size and position. Also only noticed after the latest firmware update.

Have you tried a hard reset?

    Hard Reset:
Unplug the power cord and shut the unit off and Press and Hold the power button and the "Down" volume button together for 6-10 seconds and let them both go. After a few seconds you should see a couple of shapes in the middle of the screen called "Wipe Data" and "Android". Wait a few more seconds until the term "Cold Boot" appears in the list near the top of the screens and just press and release the "Down" volume button again and let it reboot. If you own the dock be sure and do this with the dock connected.

Still doing the same, even after the latest update.

BBC Iplayer flashes the black triangles in both stock browser and Dolphin for pad.

    Also, Iplayer crashes Opera completely.

Anyone else still have this problem??

On the plus side, typing on this forum is quicker now since the update.

    Same problem here

I've tried the hard reset and have got the latest Flash - but still get the flashing triangles. I'm a bit loathed to go back a to older Flash versions, but if that is the only way I will have to. Anybody found a solution or know if one is being worked on?

    Thanks, Paul

Tried everything but a FR, hard reset, uninstall Flash reboot and re-install and still the same.

Strange that it is only a problem in full screen, when zoomed in to full screen size it does not do it.

Interesting that not more people are having the problem, or not reporting it??

Seem to remember it started after an update, flash or firmware I cannot remember, it's an age thing

Question, is that the only place you're having that problem?
