Transformer APPS that help extend tablet/Keyboard Dock Battery life

Do we just keep airplane mode on all the time then?
is that what you are suggesting, or do weturn airplane mode on each time we want to leave transformer idle?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Auto Airplane app is necessary since a recent (Honeycomb) update, you can have WiFi turned off and on when you power your TF off and on. Saying that, I still use it!

As far as I can see on ICS, that feature of the standard Asus settings to turn off wifi when in sleep mode doesn't work. Still ran my battery down quickly. But installed Auto Airplane by Don and it does the job!

Not really sure, but when I opened the app, it has a Start and a Stop button, so I would definitely open it and tap Start!. Also, I would check off Start on boot. There are also boxes where you can check to keep wifi and bluetooth enabled in airplane mode, which I, of course, don't have checked.

What ever happened to loyalty? Don was there when we needed him. So we just abandon him now that he's no longer needed? Just kidding, but I'm going to keep his app on my TF in the name of tradition!

By default you don't need to do anything but install it. If for some reason it appears not to be working, double check that it is set to load on startup.

For anyone else considering another method, there is one thing to keep in mind. If you use a lock screen AAM allows the tablet to get WiFi access before unlocking. There have been plenty of complaints when people who had WiFi off AND a lock screen that someone, (the little tykes), tried to unlock and didn't get it unlocked. (LOCKED OUT). If that happens, the only way to get it unlocked is for the WiFi to be on so it can ask you to log into your Google account. Otherwise it's factory reset time.
