    Battery life?

Ok I charged my TF overnight and been using the TF to read comics for 2 1/2 hours and its depleted to 70% already. Surely that can't be right?.

I switched off background sync, sync to only once for many of the apps but its still pretty poor.

Do I set the brightness to auto?, at the moment its half way.

Auto Airplance is on too when I'm not using the Internet.

the screen and wifi are large battery power eaters. you may want to check batteryusage on settings. if you used it non-stop for 2 .5 hours (including wifi on)i gues that's normal.

Assuming you were reading comics for the entire 2.5 hours and that your TF used 30% battery during that time, this would yield about 8 hours and 20 minutes of battery life.

If I recall, the tablet is rated for 9 hours of battery. This rating is done with Bluetooth and WiFi off, watching a 720p video and a brightness of 60 nits (which is pretty close to minimum brightness from what I can gather).

The biggest battery killers are screen brightness, WiFi and Bluetooth. Even reading comics with the WiFi on will decrease this 9 hours of battery life. I think that your tablet is on par for having normal battery life.

Not speaking from personal experience, but I've heard the auto brightness often makes it brighter than necessary, thus shortening battery life - it's kind of a user's discretion thing.

I personally do not like the Auto setting and adjust it myself as I need it. Most of the time I keep it on minmum brightness. When watching a video indoors, usualy around 60%. Outdoors, full brightness.
