New TF - youtube sticks, buffers eternally, then crashes
I got my TF yesterday. I've installed a few things, not too much. I haven't gotten to deep into it yet, but the youtube app has serious problems.
When I try to watch a video it will either buffer endlessly until I click back, then it crashes
or
I start a video, it plays for a little bit, then buffers endlessly until it crashes.
I'm on a wifi connection that is pretty good.
any ideas?

Install Opera Mobile. Then go to it's settings and turn it into Desktop Mode. Download the latest flash player. You should be good to go.
note: The youtube app itself still won't work, but you will be able to watch youtube tnx to the Opera Browser as in a normal desktop or notebook pc.

Thanks - so basically you're saying the default YT app just isn't that good?

What is the difference between Opera Mobile and Opera Mini?

I am not seeing "Desktop Mode" in Settings>Applications>Opera Mobile... the only option I see there with a check-box next to it is "Android Compatibility mode"

The youtube app works pretty good for me. I do have a very strong wifi signal. Some videos do stop to buffer especially at the beginning, but once they get going they then usually play through all the way. Monaco, maybe someone can figure out why yours is having issues. I still think your wifi might not be strong enough for the videos to play correctly.

I have a 50% signal. I am noticing that the TF's WiFi antenna doesn't have great reception

Go to the Red "O" upper left. Then settings, then advanced, then user agent set it to desktop, and then adobe flash enabled. Also go to the Market and make sure you have downloaded the newest Adobe Flash.

My wifi strength is all the way to the top. However I'm sitting right next to the router.

I'm two rooms over... all other devices usually show 100%
Thanks for the tip on Opera!
