    Angry TF Not Charging

My TF is not charging. The cable will connect to the computer and trickle charge, and the wallwart will charge other devices. But when I use my cable with my wallwart it will not charge my TF nor my dock. I know it isn't the device because it won't charge the dock or tab. Please help.

I have had issues with the wall wart when using the tablet only since the 3.2 updates. Sometimes I have to unplug the charger from the tablet, then sometimes it is the USB connector, sometimes it is the wall plug. Charging through the dock I have never had this issue.

Also, I have to ask...are you using a USB extension cable? If so be sure it is USB 3.0.

when all else fails- put the power brick in a zippy bag and put in freezer for about an hour. It resets something inside. I know of this working on 5 different posters.

Try installing Dual Battery Widget from the Market. Once installed, see if it shows the TF charging.

Yes if you slide open the charger you will see 2 wires. Gently separate those wires just a bit. Close the charger and lets see if it now works

I would try a hard reset (will not erase data)

    Hard Reset:
Unplug the power cord and shut the unit off and Press and Hold the power button and the "Down" volume button together for 6-10 seconds and let them both go. After a few seconds you should see a couple of shapes in the middle of the screen called "Wipe Data" and "Android". Wait a few more seconds until the term "Cold Boot" appears in the list near the top of the screens and just press and release the "Down" volume button again and let it reboot. If you own the dock be sure and do this with the dock connected.
Also, if you are a DIY person, take an old USB cable and cut the cable and strip back the black and red wires. Use a volt meter to check the voltage between these two. It should be 15 VDC.

Lastly, if you are in the US you can go to Office Depot or CompUSA and try to grab a charger for it ($30 USD) and see if that helps your situation.

The freezer trick is free- and sometimes it really does work.

Also, try a different outlet in a different room. That kicked mine into gear. After I used my daughters tab to test if it was dead or not. Know anybody with a tf you can test it on? Or go to your retailer and before buying a replacement, test it on their TF.
