I just purchased my TF this week and I am very frustrated that I haven't been able to download apps from the Market for some reason. I have tried to download both from the Market directly and the web-based Market, but have had no luck. All of the apps I was attempting to download are free (i.e. Google Docs, Skype, and a live wallpaper). In the Market it indicates that all of these apps are compatible with my TF. When I click on the app, the install/download progress bar just keeps running, but nothing is actually ever installed on the TF. If I go to the Purchases page in the market, it shows that the installation of the apps has been completed, but they never show up.
The TF firmware is fully updated to 3.2. I have a wireless router that was provided free with my Verizon DSL service (I believe it is a Westell 7500).
I unsuccessfully tried several suggestions that I have seen on forums, including the following:
(1) turning wifi off and on again;
(2) clearing data from the market all and download manager in the application manager menu (suggested by Market support rep);
(3) trying to set up port forwarding on my router's settings page (although I'm not sure if I did it correctly); and
(4) turning off all firewall protections on my router.
The functionality of the TF is obviously hampered when you can't download any apps. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
