more help with photos please

I am afraid I still dont know how to transfer photos from camera sd card to Gallery. I managged to do it once but no idea how that happened! \it seems unnecessarily complicated or is it just me!??

Open up the file manager of your choice (it should default to the /mnt/sdcard/ directory) Go up 1 or 2 levels until you see a directory called /Removable/

Open this up, then there is a directory called "SDcard" which is the external card. Copy the file(s) or folder(s) you want and go up to the /mnt/sdcard/ directory and place them in the directory of your choice. I usually put them in the /mnt/sdcard/DCIM/ directory in a folder that I create.
