Scanning media files in microsd

Apology if this was previously asked. Regardless of which player I used (Mobo or MX), it will not detect movies files stored in microsd during scanning. Basically I have to access file manager (in built or 3rd party app HD file manager for honeycomb) to play movies from there from there. Why is this so and what can I do to rectify it.

Also, some movies I have are split into different chapters. Are there any good player where I can set it to play continuously?

With Moboplayer, you have to set the media directory. What I did was when it comes up, it is in the /mnt/sdcard/ directory (internal memory). Hit the back arrow 2 times to go up 2 levels to the "/" directory (root directory).

Long press on the box to the left of the mnt folder to select it for scanning, then long press on the box to the left of the Removable folder to select it. Then tap the menu key (4 lines 2 over from the home button) and then "Confirm". It will then scan these folders for media.
