Do you have a rooted phone? I use wifi tether which also has bluetooth. My phone is rooted.

Without using something like pdanet, tethering isnt possibe without root, due to kernel limitations set forth by the manufacturers. More like without root you cat flash a custom kernel...which means no tethering.

Are you trying to tether your tablet to a computer or are you trying to tether the tablet to a phone?

Was able to tether with my droid incredible. I tried PDANet to tether and was not successful in getting tether option on tablet for Bluetooth DUN. Wireless Tether can still be found on their dev website, 2_0_7 was stable, 2_0_8 did not work for me. Of course I rooted my phone to get this to work.

I got pdanet working last night. The first attempt didn't work because I was using "the wrong" version of pdanet on my phone. I believe one of the other moderators on this forum suggested I use the pdanet tablet (beta) on my phone (and tablet). That seemed to do the trick. My phone is a Motorola Milestone with Android 2.1 and my tablet is Asus Transformer Honeycomb 3.1. Browser worked, Market worked, but the native email client connecting back to Exchange through ActiveSync seemed to keep retrying. Not sure on that one. But I was able to use the browser to log in through the internet to get my Exchange email anyways. But I didn't work at it very long. I'm just thrilled I don't have to get a 3G tablet and yet another wireless plan. Good job, Asus and pdanet!
