    Problem with pdf documents

    Hello

I have downloaded some pdf documents to read on my Transformer. However, when I come to open them I get a message saying "Error: The document cannot be opened because it is corrupted or damaged."

When I downloaded the same pdf's onto my PC I can read them. I have tried downloading them several times to my Transformer and get the same message. Does anyone no a way to fix this?

    Thanks

Try downloading Adobe PDF Reader from the Market as you need a PDF reader in order to view your document.

Try a Herd Reset.. see if that clears your problem

    Hard Reset:
Unplug the power cord and shut the unit off and Press and Hold the power button and the "Down" volume button together for 6-10 seconds and let them both go. After a few seconds you should see a couple of shapes in the middle of the screen called "Wipe Data" and "Android". Wait a few more seconds until the term "Cold Boot" appears in the list near the top of the screens and just press and release the "Down" volume button again and let it reboot. If you own the dock be sure and do this with the dock connected.

Thanks. I will give that a try.

Before I do, will a hard reset wipe any installed apps and files?

No.. If you push the VOL DOWN when you see the Android on the screen it will not.

I tried the Adobe Reader too, but it wouldn't even install. Why should I be surprised, since Adobe Reader won't even work in the web browser on my Windows 7.
So I too just downloaded another one and it worked perfectly. But still, they don't work in the book reader apps for some reason.

Interesting! Have just got a TF101 with dock, and installed Adobe Acrobat Reader from Adobe web site and no problems in opening imported files from USB stick.
