Thumbs up No Backlight( Black/ Blank screen)

Accidentally dropped my TF101 Tablet. Now when i start it I get a blank/ black screen. Come to find out that It does still work. I was able to see a faint Start up screen, but after that nothing. The HDMI output works. I googled a fix for it which says to try ensuring the cables are all properly in place but no dice. Can anyone recommend anything else to try?

    Just to recap

    The tablet works
    battery at 100%
screen brightness is at auto( < 100%)
i get a faint start up logo screen
just get a blank/ black screen
If I connect hdmi i can see the home screen on the external connection
All cables are secured as far as i can see

You could try a Cold Boot and see if your TF101 works after that... Procedure is in the Master Help Guide.

Here is a link to a teardown guide, you can use this to help open your TF101 and check the connections. Good luck.

Probably your backlight is out and you have to replace the LCD.

I am an international customer who purchased the unit quite some time ago. As you can see i have opened the device and i believe my warranty( if not void by opening it) may have already expired.

if I can still get it serviced/ fixed replace then where do I find the serial #

Warranty is one year. You can have it repaired via Asus RMA but it will no doubt be expensive.
