[ SOLVED ] How do I reattach the ribbon to the power and volume.

Hello, I replaced my battery in my tf101 and now my power/volume switches do not work. I seem to be having trouble connecting the ribbon to the volume power switch part. It seems like it just sits on top of the connections, my eyes can't tell if it plugs in or not. Any advice to making this connection would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have not had my open in while, but it is more than likely one of two types.

    1. The cable just slides in might need strong light and/or a magnifying glass.

    2. I is a little door that you have to gently lift up and put the cable in and then gently close the door.

If the door type and you have damaged it your only option is to find a new/used PCB on EBAY.

I took it apart several months ago and do not remember how to put this part back together. The little white door is flipped up. I slid the ribbon under where it closes but it does not stay down. The tf101 works well but I cannot shut it off and I cannot restore it to factory settings without the use of the power and volume buttons.

I have it working now. After reading your post I realized I was trying to get it in wrong. What I did was remove the little power volume card and connected it that way; this was way easier to see and get at with my sausage fingers and bad eyes. I then attached the card and it worked. Thank you for your help.

Glad I was able to point you in the right direction, even with small fingers those are difficult to work with, I always use a jewelers screw driver to open and close, again very gently.
