Touch screen not responding - otherwise works TF101
Hello,
I've been trying everything I can, any help would be most appreciated!
How it went down:
-I left my tablet in 'always on mode', forgot I had done that, and walked away until it drained
-charged it back to full, touch screen now no longer works
-tablet was not moved or damaged between boots
-the keyboard/dock works fine, can plug a mouse into USB
I have tried numerous cold boots, and also re-flashed the most recent firmware onto the tablet using an SD card
When I go under tablet info, "touch panel version" it says "not available".... this to me indicates a software problem, but how to actually fix it?
I have not rooted my device, but am willing to try if this is the only way to fix it.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
Thanks in advance

I'm not 100% sure but it sounds like the touch screen might have failed. I don't know if rooting or anything like that would help in this case. Considering it's a TF101, you might be out of warranty, but you can still send it in to have it checked out. We can troubleshoot and see what's wrong and if you want to proceed with repairs, we can do that as well. If you would like more info on how to send it in, shoot me a PM or an e-mail.

For giggles and grins, I would run the battery flat again. Try to boot it up until it wont boot any more.
Then charge it up and see if that helps.
Otherwise, you digitizer may have failed and it may just be coincidence on the timing of running the battery flat last time.

Hello,
I have the TF101 and having very similar problem. Had to replace my charger a while back due to it failing. Bought a cheep charger from ebay, works fine, BUT. Found out if it is plugged in while I use the tablet, it causes touch screen problems. Some times works fine then all of the sudden the touch screen stops working. If I unplug it, Bam the touch screen works fine.
Hope this helps you, or someone!
