PC no longer recognizes / syncs

Okay .. this is really annoying. I've had my tablet for over a year and have never had an issue with it syncing to my PC. The last couple weeks everytime i try and plug it into my PC nothing happens. Nothing comes up asking if i want to sync / view. The cord seems fine and I have no issues charging. Nothing has changed on the tablet or PC, they just suddenly wont talk to each other. Obviously my PC isnt recongnizing it, but why? Checked to make sure that sync was checked on the tablet settings. Did a hardboot. Did a coldboot. Plugged in a flash drive to the usb port on the computer and it words fine. Tried to plug into my wifes computer .. same thing, nothing. Do I have a driver issues somehow? Any help is greatly appreciated.
