so, other than finding it turned off in my briefcase this morning, i've used it on and off all day with no issues. gmail, voice, reading pages and pages of pdfs, &c. i just downloaded 10 more files from dropbox and everything was fine. i turned away toward my laptop for 3 minutes and, when i turned back, i found the Eee Pad screen just sitting there. it's been like that now for three minutes. it's not doing anything. touching the screen doesn't do anything. pushing power doesn't do anything. pushing and holding power turned the screen off and started it booting again. any ideas? am i doing something wrong? expecting too much? i can't be driving this thing too hard, am i? is google voice causing a problem?

I have exactly the same problem. It's not predictable. It's not accidental power presses. I send it to sleep and about 3-5 mins later it reboots. Only had it a week is it a duff unit?

    Hi,

From my search. The reboot is caused by new ip assignation from your router.. did you experience "no internet connection" after the soft reboot?
Cause mine did it just after a day when I restarted my router.

    read more here: http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1729880

    Hope that helps!
