That is terrible news! I hate that for you. Welcome to the forum and please keep us posted on the outcome.

I think any spares will be very hard to get hold of at the moment as the unit is till in full production.
You haven't really got many options currently apart from returning it. I would imagine the repair would be quite expensive.
It is awful news and I wish you luck with resolving your issues

Yeah...that was my conclusion too, about the parts.
I gave in and shipped it to them. Really sucks.
Hopefully it won't cost too much, but I am not holding my breath.
I'll try to remember to post once this is resolved one way or the other.
At least then someone might benefit from my experience.

Good luck, that is horrible to have that happen right away. My wife was out of the country with our TF and that was both our fears that it might get snatched or broken. Let us know how it turns out. That's got to be the biggest fear for all of us is cracking our screens.

Mine fell from the second floor of my bed and smashed into my brothers knee the frame is a little bent in the upper left and the glass is all cracked...
Will wait to see how much it will cost you to get it repaired.

OMG same thing happen to me
I brought my TF yesterday..... I am so sad and piss right now.
The TF screen is so fragile!!!! I was charging my TF and my phone drop on my screen (from the shelf) within 25cm, and the screen cracked. Glass is shatter everywhere!!
I just found out there is an accidental warranty for asus eee pad!! But the stupid store I brought it at told me there was no such a thing. I called the Asus company and they said there is and you should able to get one at the location where you purchase your TF! I own the TF for only 24 hours and there is a stupid crack in it. I can't even hold it properly now because it cuts me when I hold it.

Really sad to hear that my friend...and I'm hoping that the repair to replace on you're TF screen won't cost you a bundle.
Just a tip, In the future next time you buy a brand new electronics I highly recommend that you get an extra insurance for it, I purchased one for my TF @ SquareTrade Warranties | Extended Warranties for 70% Less Than Retail | Electronics Insurance Alternative for $79.00 that covers 2 Year Warranty including "Accidental Damage Insurance" in case something happens to my TF like yours as Asus or neither Apple (if you have iPad) cover any accidental insurance especially broken screens.
I don't know exactly if they can insure used or previously owened items as require copy of receipt that shows the original purchase date to cover your electronics.

I had one electronic item that went south on me, luckily I had bought an insurance from this Sqaure Trade, called them up and they sent me a pre-paid box to send them my electronic and after couple days after them receiving my item they told me that the item won't be able to be repair as it will cost them more money to do so, so instead they sent a a check for a full purchased amount of the item when I bought it.....it's a win-win situation for me especially for an old and outdated electronic.
