The display won't show on my asus, I've went inside it and took the back off. What should I do now?

Check that all the cords are tight into their sockets and try it again.

There are a few possibilities here. As bfmetcalf pointed out, make sure all the cables are connected.

It is possible that the LCD or the backlight are also failed. Once you make sure the cables are connected, try to power it up. If you see it change color slightly, but just a different shade of black, this means the backlight is still working. If you do not see that change, grab a bright light or flashlight and shine it into the display. Look to see if you can see the screen, but it is just dim. If this is the case, then the backlight is not working.

If you have a miniHDMI to HDMI cable, try connecting it to a TV or monitor that has an HDMI input to see if it works there.

Also, it could be stuck in APX mode. Try holding the power button for 30 seconds straight. Release, then try a 3 second press and see if it springs to life.
