Hello People / External DVD Help

Hi after months of doing some research, I finally decided to get this device. And So far I love it, but is there a way I can hook it to my external dvd drive? I purchase an ASUS external dvd player with the tablet and keyboard dock, but it doesnt register.

Welcome to the forum. That's a good question that i don't think I've seen discussed here before. I'm going to move this thread to the help section so that it received more attention.

This was discussed a while back, but no solution was found. Basically, your best bet is to convert your movies to mp4 using DVD Catalyst on a PC or Mac and then transfer them to the TF, or to use a large external HDD to hold them and plug that in and you can have hundreds of movies in the size of your DVD drive.

After an intensive research, I decided to return the external dvd. Such a shame, I was hoping to turn it into an entertainment device when I get home. But I still love the transformer. I am going to try DVD catalyst to watch some dvd movies

When I first got my TF dock, I tried to connect an external DVD drive that I had used with my old ASUS netbook, but I could not get it to work.
