    Google Map Q?

    I have 2 questions..

1 : i notice Google Maps want to "update". When i try it, it try to download it, than send the task to "not installed". Is it normal ? It's the version 5.4.0... and the version already installed are 5.4.0 ..... weird.

2 : Is there a way to download some map, and than use them offline (in car). The tablet don't have 3G ... so in my car, tuff receive update !

I just jot my Transformer yesterday.
Your 1st question: I have the same problem. Have you figured out a fix?
Your 2nd question: I think Navigon mobile navigator stores maps in memory

Also I am sure you can use co-pilot to do maps offline.

Google Maps will cache your trip for you if you set the navigation while having internet, and I think a small amount around the trip (depends on the length of the trip of course).

Will it cache enough for turn by turn? I'll have to try that ...

I know on Android phones that when you have issues you just uninstall Maps. It really doesn't uninstall maps, but the update for the google maps. Then you run the update again. I just got my Transformer, so I'm in the process of updating it and what not. I'll add this to my list of things to do.

Supposedly with WiFi you can pre route your destination and it will
download and save the map tiles. I have yet to tried it on the TF
but it work on the phone when I tried it before. I might try it today.

I have CoPilot and it work great offline.

Edit: I tried map catching with Google map and it work great.
Before i left work i chose home destiation,The Nav app routed my trip, as i left work it told me i lost data connection but it routed me home just fine. About a 12 miles trip.
