Stupid question - is your Desktop PC set to have shared files on the network?

For the MyNet, I noticed that I have to have WMP open with the sharing turned on per this link: Stream Videos from Windows Media Player to Eee Pad Transformer with MyNet and DLNA | Blu-ray to HD Media Player

In FM HD, have you tried setting up the connection manually by adding a server and entering the network name or IP manually? I know sometimes mine does not show up but it is there if I connect to it via a manual server connection.

Reply to a very very old topic, but I just bought a Win 7 (64) pc and set Mediaplayer up to allow remote control and auto play media. But it simply does not show up in MyNet. Mediaplayer also doesn't find the TF for remote acces through MyNet.
Folder sharing on the pc is set up, and works just fine through ES File Explorer.

under win7 open network and sharing center. click change advanced settings, pick home or work. under media streaming it will prob say off. click choose media streaming options. click turn on media streaming. on the drop down that says show devices on: pick all networks. find the mac address of your tf and make sure the drop down is set to :allow.

to find you tf mac adress. goto settings, about tablet, status, wifi mac address.

afaik it will share any media that is in your media libraries in media center or wmp.

Mine works in either dierction from the TF to PC or from PC to TF. I can also go from my TF or PC to my DLNA TV and Blu Ray player.
Make sure that in stream drop down box of WMP you select more streaming options an enable everything.
    Hope this helps.

    I allready tried those steps.
My mediastreaming is set to on/allow at both home network and all networks. The TF simply doesn't show up on my network share center, and win 7 doesn't show up on MyNet.
After initial setup the Windows pc showed up on MyNet for a brief moment and just disappeared, never to be found again.

It's not a real big thing because I can simply stream through ES File Explorer. It just bugs me that I can't get that frigging MyNet to work.

Have you tried going to MyNet app and clearing the cache and stopping the app? Have you tried a cold boot of the TF? Maybe a firewall issue?

Yep, cleared cache, erased data, forced stop, cold booted the TF, shut down the firewall on my pc completely. Nothing seems to work unfortunatly.
