Do not buy tf201

So I cracked my Prime a few weeks ago and finally called ASUS (they don't sell the screens seperately...) for replacement, $220 plus shipping.

I used the hell out of it..great tablet and ICS is fantastic, but if you're on the fence of TF201 or another manufacturer, go with the other manufacturer. Period. I pre-ordered mine in Dec/Jan and was one of the first to pick one up in NC. I'm super pissed that they're gouging customers (along with poor customer service) and will never buy another ASUS product. As a business customer, I expect much more from a vendor. Hopefully Lenovo's new line of tablets are along the same price as the TF201s when they first came out.

ASUS - I hope you read this and take notice. Products make cash, but service makes companies.

And no vendor I am aware of would have treated you any differently under the circumstances, including Lenovo. In fact I could name a few tablets where you would have been lucky to get the repair quote at all.

I guess if you bought a Ford and ran into a phone pole and the repair shop, (not even Ford), wanted $1,000 to fix it you would swear off Fords.
