Asus TF101 won't charge from completely dead battery

I have an asus TF101 that was bought about 4 months ago, it was used a few weeks of that time but resently it has been sitting with a completely dead battery. I got a new khomo charger for it and plugged it in, a few seconds after that I tried to turn it on and it showed the boot screen for about 2 seconds and then shut down. I haven't been able to get it to turn on since, does it need to charge for a few hours because the battery is completely dead? or is the battery dead for good?

You will need to make sure the charger is outputting at least 10V and 1A I believe to get it to charge. You could try trickle charging it for a day or so from a USB 3.0 port on a computer to see if it takes the charge at all, that will usually jump start a totally dead battery.

I would charge both the dock and the tablet separate for one full charge, then you can connect them and use them as normal.

This Khomo charger, is it for the TF series or for the iPad/iPhone?

Yes. Don't touch it for about 8 hours. Treat it like you just got it and are letting it do it's first charge.

I would do the same for the dock as well.

Are you charging it in the wall wart, or in a computer?

in the wall, it wont charge when its in the dock or when its turned on but if the screen is off or its powered down it charges. I left it all night and got a full charge.
