    Screen not working properly

Bought my uncles transformer, was working for a few days than out of no where it stopped working.
I can hear sounds, updates, new emails, etc; but the screen is pitch black. No backlight.
Any ideas? Tried the common things. Reset, power on and off, power + vol up; etc.

    Thanks!

Welcome Sorry to hear of your problem

The simplest solution for you is to connect your tf to a tv using an hdmi cable. If you don't have one they are cheap enough on amazon or ebay. Then you can see if your tf is on & if it is "just" the screen or backlight.

If it is less than 12 months old, it should still be under warranty.

Alright, but, when connected to the computer via usb, I have tried to cold boot it. After ten seconds of holding power and vol down my computer alerts me that device has been removed. I let go and than my computer recognized my tablet again. Any helpfulness?

Well only in the sense that it probably means that the screen or backlight has failed. It does sound like it. If it is out of warranty, you can always try disassembly & checking connections if you are brave. We have a thread somewhere... I'll look for you...

Sounds like the backlight went out, again try the HDMI cable.
Make sure you get microHDMI to HDMI
