    Locked out!!!!

I reset a numeric pin on my pad this evening and my fat fingers must have hit a number that was not in my code and know I am locked out. I keep waitting for the option to pop up to go to a gamil account but it is not showing up. I would like to be able to fix this with out sending it to the land of who knows where just cause I am a moron.

    Factory reset it :/
Try several reboots or cold boots to get gmail to pop up, otherwise it needs a reset.

    Welcome to the forum

If your WiFi was turned off, that may be the problem. A factory reset, as TOD mentioned, may be your only option. Certainly there is no need to send it back to wherever.

Ok I will try. I have turmed it on and off three times still trying to get gmail to pop. If the reset is the only option how would I go about doing that?

They really need a way to activate wifi externally C.c,
    it's a pretty unfortunate glitch.

    To Reset:
Turn off totally, hold the volume-down button while turning it back on. Wait a little while and it will show you the option 'wipe data', choose that.

Interesting - several people with names suggesting they are male have posted on here with a similar problem, and the response is generally that the pad might be stolen and there is a general reluctance to make the factory reset suggestion - a poster with a female name posts the same question (still only 4 posts to her credit) and she gets two useful replies telling her how to bypass the pin.

Please link me to those posts so I can helpfully respond to them as well... -_- I didn't see them. There is also a search button, and this has been asked before. Accusations = no please.
    Thanks!

I think, if you'll check the posts you refer too you will find equal responses from moderators. You may be reading more into the posts than was intended.

Besides, women can't thieve: that evil has been left out of their genes.

...which is why they smell nice.
