The metal cover of the USB door came off yesterday...

Do I need to send both the pad and the dock to CZ, or just the dock?

BTW, photos attached now... It's just not properly glued...IMG_20110704_071559.jpgIMG_20110704_071637.jpg

    That's what I did yesterday...

I don't know why they use glue and two piece design on this compartment. why not a single piece of rubber like on cameras...

It is always the metal part that bares the force from our nails while pull-opening the USB door. Next time I'll use a special tool to open it, so make sure the force is on that black plastic...

    How ridiculous!!

They say this is CID: customer caused damage!!!

Lucky I took both videos and photos to prove this is not the case...

That is pretty bad. Of the design of the dock, my biggest complaint is trying to open the usb ports... they like to snap closed again before you can get them opened. Good luck!

There is no scratch, no damage, no crack, nothing on both the black plastic and the metal piece.

It's just the glue detached, and they refuse to recognize and glue it back for me... And the glue fails just a week after purchase and <10 times of opening and closing of the USB port...

This is very sad... What bad quality and poor service.

Those covers are a PITA. i am sorely tempted to snip them both off.

There are no covers on any of my other machines. What are they supposed to do other than turning the insertion of a USB connector into a two-handed job and breaking fingernails?

    Ditto.

I understand the desire for a sleek look....but for the ports (just like on wireless phones)...those port covers are kinda a pain in the posterior...

Why would you waste time doing an RMA for this?? use some common sense. No super glue in the house? All you need is one tiny drop to fix it. That, or just rip the whole door off. That will give you faster access to the usb port.
