    Please help!!! My eeepad was stolen .... Cant i track it?



    Hi Im really frustrated my eepad was stolen early sunday morning and im running out of time i know... is there any way that it can be tracked? i mean it is android which means its smart right? I have the gps maps programs on there .... there shoudl be a way with the serial number to track it correct?

    PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!!!!

    I dont think so if you didnt installed some app for that

    AHH YES I SUPPOSE YOU ARE RIGHT.... I HAVE IT SET UP TO AUTO PICK UP WIFI BUT IF ITS AROUND NO WIFI OR WIFI THAT REQ A PASSWORD THEN IT WILL NOT WORK Im so frustrated so i guess im left to just letting the police try and find it im never going to get it back i just got it and i loved it soo much and used it everyday, my father gave it to me as a gift I will never be able to afford to repalce it ppl are so mean and hateful to do things like that. they didnt even get the charger or anything so they cant do anything with it axcept break my heart yesterday was my birthday .... nothing would make me happier right now. i had the worst bday on top of the stolen pad and also my cell phone was stolen, im crying so hard right nowe i cant even breathe

    Did you register it with ASUS? I think they have a way of tracking it if it is on the internet. Worth a shot looking around their website and emailing them. You can also PM Asus_USA on here, he is a rep from ASUS on these forums. HERE is his profile.

    ASUS usually has a way considering their tracking programme, but it's better to sign up Beforehand :/
    Contact them and see what you can work out.

    I am not sure if you can use other ways to track it, but if you install some tracking software before it is stolen, you can track it by this software.

    Odds of this actually working isn't very high, since you need an internet connection for it to install. That would mean the thief would have to connect to the internet without deleting your profile or reformatting the tablet. Full reformat would be the first thing i would do. However, you can never over estimate the intelligence of a regular joe.



    This guy was still able to get into his computer two years after it was stolen. Thief just used his PC as is.
