Is it normal that the data transfer is so slow?

Today I had to transfer a folder with a lot of files (1.28 GB, or something like that) from my pc to my tf101 and a galaxy s, using the same USB (but not the same cable obviously). The transfer time for the galaxy was about 15 minutes, for the transformer it was 2 hours! Why so much?!? Is it normal?

There are a few things that could affect the transfer rate.

The fastest way is to remove the sd card from the tablet or dock and use a card reader to copy from your desktop.

Thank you for the reply. Please keep in mind that I' m not writing the data on a sd card but on the flash memory of the tf101 using the cable, so the problem cannot be the sd card itself or the sd reader used.

    Well, there's your problem.

Most of us use the external card/s for large files.

USB is not the fastest way to move stuff.

Might I suggest you try smaller batches and also do a restart of your TF before the transfer. See if that speeds things up.
