    MicroSD reconnecting after suspend

    Hello all,

Im facing a problem since the last ASUS update (2-3 weeks ago?).

Every time the TF101 (unroot and outside the dock) comes out from suspend mode, the MicroSD does a reconnection.. meaning... is being detected and ready to be used (no issues or problems whatsoever).

This takes just 2 or 3 seconds after i unlock the screen but it was something it never did before (and since i have some stuff on the card with apps open using them), some apps doesnt like the idea of something being disconnected/connected while "using it"
Example, MX Player with a paused movie.

I dont think i changed anything but does anyone knows if this is something that brings the new update or will i have to dig in a bit more into my own setting?

Normal when coming out of deep sleep it rescan the MSD or if you have the dock and a SD card there it will show this for both the MSD and SD.

That's interesting. You are saying with "use Asus Quick Setting" turned on, (ticked) this mount cycle happens. Without it turned on, it doesn't. Do I understand that correctly?

If so, that's very helpful. I had noticed - as have others- that the mount/unmount cycle seems to stop happening after a while - say 2/3 days, but no-one had directly connected it to the Asus quick setting.

PLEASE Search for existing threads before posting a new one. Thanks.

Your opinion matters. But should you disagree - please try not to be disagreeable

I never used the AQS before until this last update (2-3 weeks ago?) and i overlook it when my issue happened.

Apologies for the thread necromancy, but I had to post this.
I think this piece of information should be stickied or something similar. I learned to live with it somewhat, but it was extremely annoying to have the card remounted every time I unlocked the tablet and brought it up from suspend. It was especially annoying to wait for the music app to repopulate the library, since I keep my music on the external storage. It was impossible to just unlock the device and start playing music.

The main reason this information is important is because it's a completely unrelated setting. It's also a bit of a shame since the AQS is extremely useful.

EDIT: New bit of info here. It seems that turning AQS back on doesn't bring the old issue back. Perhaps I need to keep the tablet asleep for longer for the rescan to be triggered? I'm thinking maybe there's some buggy behaviour in the AQS that disables rescanning once you toggle it off and on again.
