TF101 Transformer- REBOOT ISSUES after the 3/12/12 ICS UPDATE - TRY THIS
The above thread was closed with the assumption that the recent update pushed out by Asus recently repaired the thousands of lemon Transformers (TF101) affected by this bug. It did not. Of course, I assumed this update would repair the reboot circle of death that a LOT of people have complained about. This bug still persists.
Personally I have already filed my small claims with my local county asking for a refund from Asus since the device does not function as advertised. I am awaiting the response from the country. I was actually surprised that after roughly THREE MONTHS Asus finally pushed out an update. The update still does not fix this issue.
If anybody has found any way to prevent this other than running a "no-sleep" app then please let me know. Has anybody had any success with a custom ROM? I am going to try that soon. I think maybe Asus needs help with this issue since they seem to be unable to repair the device by themselves. From what I have gathered a kernel in XDA repaired this problem which is obviously a problem with the sleep states possibly related to waking up the wifi controller. In the above thread it was said that Asus was having users log this issue. I guess no real repair came from this.
@ASUSFAN0001: Your assumption in the above thread that the problem was fixed by another broken pushed update was wrong. The problem persists and I thought it necessary to start a new one.
