I'm also facing the same problem. I would like to lend my Transformer table to my friend without him being able to read my gmail and access all my other google apps! Very frustrating...nothing works...clearing cache, cookies, remembered passwords, etc. Even deleted all the data on the browser under application management but as soon as the browser is launched, it automatically logs into my google account.

Also, I have AVG anti-virus which has the App Locker tool and it doesn't work on the Android Settings App. Again, I don't want my friend to be able to change any of my tablet settings or even worse, set a password or encryption on the tablet!

Is there an answer to this problem?? Exactly what I have dedicated my first foray on this forum to - I want this tablet to be shared among our family. I also want to check my email sometimes. But I can't find how to change google accounts. Why do I have to be logged into a google account to browse anyway?? I want to use gmail - not an email client - but can't set it up to switch between multiple gmail accounts! I created a new one for the family to get over that initial browsing hurdle... but now I'm stuck.
    Any ideas?

If you do not find anything, you can always (temporarily) change your password for your Google accounts using a PC and not correct it on the TF. Don't know if that will make the TF unstable, but this could be a last resort.

Android was conceived as deeply integrated with a Google account. If privacy is important, I'd advise to make an account and use it exclusively with the tablet.

This is a major security issue with all Android/Google tablets. Google needs to address this ASAP.

At the moment the only way around it is to perform a factory reset(delete your google account from the device).

One solution is to use App Protector Pro which is available free on:
From GetJar, get App Protector Pro

I used this to lock all the Email apps such as Gmail and Email on the TF and few others recommended by App Protector Pro.

Now every time I want to launch Gmail, the App Protector jumps in and asks for password. This password is actually for App Protector Pro itself rather than for Gmail. This means that you can lock any application from launching unless this password is keyed in. So if you have multiple email addresses, all those passwords for email accounts can remain same but you have something similar to a master password to allow access to any locked app.

On GetJar, this paid app is actually available free for now - so get it before they replace it with something else.
