Transferring Google Wallet Accounts - Google Checkout Buyer Help
Pretty much says "you can't"![]()
I had linked my tablet to my work e-mail for a small company I own.
I'll be shutting the company down, and my partners will continue on with it. I may lose that e-mail address as a result (whether in days or weeks), and so I want to know if there's a way to request Google to switch my purchased apps, the "main account" etc. for my tablet to a different Gmail address.
I'm pretty sure this is possible...I seem to remember reading something about it months ago, but can't find the post now.
I'll use my personal account as the main account for the tablet, and then, as long as I retain that work e-mail, I'll just add it to my list of synced accounts.....I just don't want it to be my main account anymore.

Yes. It is what they store your payments details in when you buy apps from the market. It also enables you to use Google Checkout in websites that use it.

I found a page today that seemed to indicate you can link multiple e-mail addresses to the Google Play account. I *think* it basically said you can link a second address, and then, if you want you can link that to your Google Play account and get access to the apps...you just can't move the apps over.
I'll try to see if I can find that link again.

I *hope* there's a way....Adobe Proto and Adobe Photoshop Touch cost me $10 each. It would suck to have to repurchase them.

I've tried to do this before. And with the full force of my g/f behind me pushing me to try to do this, I still failed. Trust me, unless you can rally a class action law suit to make google change their system, there is absolutely no way you can transfer your bought apps into a new email account.

I have two accounts linked one is for my phone and the other is for the TF. The TF was first and for some reason I could not get the phone to connect to the first account, so I created a new one. I only had one paid app that was compatible on both but it downloaded to the phone. The problem is that you can not delete one account you need to keep them both. (I think scared to try.)

I *think* you can link a second account to your existing one. So, as long as I don't "delete" my old account, I should be fine.
So, when it comes time, I guess I'll try restoring the tablet, and setting it up under my personal e-mail account. I'll then link my "old" (corporate) e-mail address to my personal one in the settings panel. In theory, as long as that old e-mail address doesn't get deleted, I *should* be able to use my old apps.
I don't know what'll happen if the password on that corporate account is eventually changed though. Maybe at that point, the apps will vanish. What sucks is that with the exception of my Adobe apps, most of the ones I have were purchased when there were sales on....like $0.10 apps, and $0.49 apps. It's going to be expensive to replace a bunch of them.

Titanium backup....
But that would mean you'd have to root your device....
It's kind of a pain that you cannot transfer purchases to a new account, but I almost understand why Google did it that way: revenue. (okay, I do understand it after all..)
