Can I play DVD movie on Eee Pad Transformer?

Is there a way to get DVD to play on my Eee Pad Transformer? Iíve copied a DVD movie to Eee Pad Transformer but the device does not recognize the file. What file extension does Eee Pad Transformer play? Does it play .vob file?

Try moboplayer from the market. You also need to install the ARMV7VFP3 codec pack to optimize moboplayer for the eee pad transformer.

The manual says Eee Pad Transformer plays MPEG4, H.263, and H.264 videos only. DVD videos are MPEG encoded so they are not playable by Eee Pad. Iíll suggest you convert DVD to H.264 mp4 video.
Hereís a guide for converting DVD to Eee Pad videos: http://home-media-center.net/?p=718
    Hope it helps.

If you have Windows DVD Catalyst seems to be the best for converting DVDs and if you have a Mac go with Handbrake.

Yeah hit up the Video forum on this site, some good tips there for ripping DVDs to mp4 format which the Transformer can play easily. DVD Catalyst and Handbrake both work really well from the encode tests I have done.

Thanks. Youíre so helpful! Tried the Pavtube dvd ripper recommended by the guide. My Eee Pad Transformer plays converted .mp4 great. Stunning picture and smooth motion. Iím really glad that I can use CUDA encoding.
