    Email (Import Contacts)

I am using the standard email that came with the transformer, but cannot find a way to import my contact file?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Mickey,

I am using a local service provider, using pop3.

I have exported the csv file from my computer, but dont see an import in the email client on the transformer. Do I need a different email client?

    Thanks Greg

Greg go to settings - accounts and sync and look in the top right corner to add an account. See if it will let you add your account from there and sync your email folders and addresses as well.

Greg, go to your apps and open the app called Contacts and in the upper right hand corner is the menu and you will see the option for importing contacts there if your contacts aren't showing up.

    Mickey,

Looks like that works for Gmail but not the email client that is built into the ASUS. My guess is that I will need to get a different email program to have contacts...

    Thanks for your help.

    Contact Problem Resolved

    Mickey,

I wanted to get back with you about the contact problem. Their is a bug in the way gmail imports .csv files. When I imported my outlook file into gmail it didnt put the email address in the right spot.

What I ended up doing was delete my contacts from gmail, then import .vsd cards from outlook and it works fine now. I am able to start typing the persons name and it fills in their email. I also ended up buying Kaiten email, its the best right now for pop3. Still would like to see an email client that included its own contacts, so you wouldnt have to use gmail.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Greg
