    USB Not Reading

    Hi Everyone:
I have just bought an Asus eee-Pad Transformer, and loving it, appart from my smart phone, this is my first android tablet, and it is just what I need.
    But
Hitting a little snag, I am trying to get the eee-pad to read an USB2 which I have connected via "USB Docking Connector" that came with the eee-pad, but going into file manager it does not recognise the USB, so a wondering how I can transfer files while out on the road which will be stored on my Nikon SD Card. (I have the necessary convertors for USB cables.

    John Mac.

You can't use the tablet's docking connector to do that. You'll either need to wait for a host adaptor/connector that Asus is promising, or get the keyboard dock which has both USB host and full-size SD card connectors.

Cheers Moose. Yeah I will await the "host adaptor/connector " is there anywhere I need to keep looking at to find out as soon as they release it???

I have the "Docking Connector Keyboard", but that would not realy be practical taking that with me while away shooting photos.

But great reply from you, at least it will stop me playing around like a headless chicken wondering why it will not read USB, and if they have something on the drawing board, may come sooner than later "I Hope"

    John Mac.

Have you considered using a microSD card in an adapter rather than a full-size SD card in your camera? Then you could take out the microSD and pop it into the side of the tablet.

Hi Moose " Problem Solved" Yes good reply, never thought of that one, it is a good possibility, and that will do for short term until "host adaptor/connector " comes out. As I have a good selection od SD Cards.

    Cheers John Mac.
