There are several threads scattered around about importing Windows Contacts, but I found a fairly easy way to import Windows Contacts without having to use the cloud or Outlook, which many computers nowadays don't have anyway.

I purchased HanDBase Desktop for Windows from DDH Software for $9.99. Installed, it only takes up about 6 MB on my PC. It's a relational database and seems relatively easy to use, and the price is right.

Here's how I import my Windows Contacts into my Transformer:

1. Export Windows Contacts as a .CSV file.

2. Import the .CSV file into HanDBase Desktop. Check "Input (.CSV) file has field names as first line of file".

3. Export the database file from HanDBase Desktop to an HTML file. Unfortunately, the program does not recognize the Transformer when it's plugged into your computer.

4. Copy the HTML file to the external microSD card.

5. Use Polaris Office (stock app) to search the file.

There could be free database programs with which you could do the same thing.

Click here and scroll to the bottom of the screen to purchase HanDBase Desktop. It's also available for MAC.

FWIW, I'm not associated in any way with DDH Software.
