The keys lining the top of my dock arent working?

Hello every body i need some help. I browsed the forums but couldnt find anything so i created a profile to ask, so please if this s somewhere be nice. Well, anyways most of the buttons lining the upper row of my asus eee pad dock refuse to function. The only ones that do [function are the back button, the music controls except the mute button, and the lock button. Anybody suffering similar poblems? this really is becoming a pain. ive only had the device for two months. Please help. Thanks!
    -Sincerely yours, Sam Kidwell

try a hard reset. if that doesn't help, you may need to rma your dock.

Welcome to the forum. I think you are the first Toaster as have here.

I have had this happen and usually an undock and dock fixes it. If not, try a hard reset (will not wipe data).

    Hard Reset:

Turn the TF off (hold the lock button for 3 seconds, say yes to shutdown)
Unplug from charger if connected, but keep the tablet docked.
Hold VOL DOWN and POWER for 10-12 seconds until some text appears. Release both buttons.
Next screen has 2 icons, right one should be highlighted in a glowing green.
In 10 seconds it will say "Cold booting Linux"
It will boot up and that is it.

My thoughts are if you have rebooted and properly seated the dock (mine needs a firm push and clicks twice before it is done all the way), then if the problem persists you have a hardware issue.

Have you tried another dock - to identify if it is the tablet or the dock at fault?

Take your dock to a store which sells the TF. It is possible they will let you do the test there. If the same problem occurs on another tab, then the Dock is faulty, send it back for another. If it works, then you have to suspect the Tab itself.
